This is a legal document written October 4, 1831, attesting the death and heirs of Joseph White, of Rockbridge County, Virginia. According to the document, White died in 1816 while on a journey to Kentucky. He left as heirs his widow, Ann, and six "infant children." The document stated two of White's sons had died since the elder White's death, and gave information as to the residences of Ann White and the surviving children.
